An accomplished academic leader and researcher with over 18 years of experience in engineering education, academic administration, and industry collaboration, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Anshad P. Y currently serves as the Principal of KMCT College of Engineering For Emerging Technologies and Management, Kasargod. With expertise spanning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Vision, Medical Image Processing, Embedded Systems, and IoT, he is widely recognized for his contributions to research-driven education and innovation-focused institutional development.

With a strong track record in academic governance and quality enhancement, he has held key leadership roles such as Head of Department, IQAC Coordinator, and Associate Professor, contributing significantly to outcome-based education practices. He has played an active role in curriculum planning and academic reforms, while also spearheading innovation initiatives such as Fab Lab development, Industry-on Campus programs, and student-driven entrepreneurship activities, helping to build a strong culture of hands-on learning and product-based research.

A committed researcher with publications in SCI- and Scopus-indexed journals, his doctoral work focused on AI-based Medical Image Processing, contributing to advancements in medical image analysis and AI-driven diagnostic support systems. He is also the author of the technical book “Image Processing in Medical Applications” and holds patents in AI- and IoT-based systems, reflecting a dedication to impactful and application-oriented research.
