About IIC

The KMCT Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) serves as a platform for nurturing innovative ideas, supporting early-stage startups, and encouraging entrepreneurship among students and aspiring innovators. The centre provides a supportive ecosystem with mentorship, networking opportunities, funding guidance, office and infrastructure support, and access to prototyping facilities and equipment. Through workshops, training programmes, expert interactions, and industry networking events, KMCT IIC helps innovators refine their ideas, develop prototypes, explore funding opportunities, and build sustainable ventures. By fostering collaboration between students, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors, the KMCT IIC aims to transform promising ideas into impactful solutions and successful enterprises.

ROLES

  • Promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty through workshops, events, and mentorship programs.

  • Collaboration and Networking: Establish connections with industry experts, startups, and other institutions to create opportunities for innovation and real-world problem-solving.

  • Support Research and Development: Encourage and guide students and faculty in research and development activities, including patent filing and product commercialization.

  • Capacity Building: Organize training programs, seminars, and hackathons to enhance technical and entrepreneurial skills.

  • Facilitate Incubation: Support and guide the incubation of innovative ideas into viable businesses through mentorship, funding opportunities, and access to resources.

  • Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Continuously monitor and assess the impact of innovation initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and national innovation policies.
